Among U.S.A' crewmates pack a clock in this rooter-made fighting game
Leave hand brake meetings and deception. What if the ultimate victor of Among The States' interstellar terror was decided with a slap-up old-fashioned punch-up?
Enter upon Among Us Arena, a fan-made by-product that pits the jazzy crewmates against each other in traditional Street Fighter-esque brawls. Your character roll is, predictably, a palette of crewmate recolours—and while they all share a moveset, information technology provides some shockingly smooth and satisfactory brawls.
There's an incredible amount of polish to Arena. Developer Starcutter has perfectly matched the attend of Innersloth's phenomenally popular deduction game, and I'd think you if you told me it was an official spin-off. Kill animations from the originative game are masterfully reimagined equally traditional fighting game tools—especially when you germinate those solid, uncomfortably detailed manpower when initiating a snap.
But with fighting game regulars putting Arena through its paces at Riptide this weekend, it's also a wholesome proof of concept for the developer's own, as-yet-unannounced fighting game plan. Scene of action even has vestigial online matchmaking, though you'll need to download the cookie-cutter regional build as whoever you want to fun with.
Starcutter reckons it'll represent ready to evince off footage of its "real" fighting game soon, with donations to Arena going towards it. Among Us Arena is free to download over on Spoil.io.
Thanks, Eurogamer.
